Clay County, Florida Edition Orange Park · Fleming Island · Green Cove Springs · Middleburg

Water in the House Right Now?

Black Creek Has Flooded This County Before. Here Is What Happens When It Does, and What We Do About It.

A calm, county-wide crew for water extraction, storm damage and mold, built around the flood history that every Clay County homeowner near the creek already knows by heart.

North Fork Black Creek rose more than fifteen feet in twenty-four hours when Tropical Storm Debby crossed North Florida in August 2024, climbing to roughly twenty feet on the Middleburg gauge, just short of the twenty-one-foot mark the National Weather Service classifies as major flooding. Lazy Acre Road and Scenic Drive went under. Families along the North Prong watched water creep toward their doors for the second time in seven years. That is not a rare event here. It is a pattern.

Seven years earlier, during Hurricane Irma, both forks of Black Creek blew past every prior mark on record. The creek crested at 28.5 feet, well above the old record of 26.5 feet, and did not fall back below flood stage for days. Clay County emergency crews pulled more than 300 people out of homes along the creek. The storm left an estimated 40 million dollars in damage across the county, with Doctors Lake and Black Creek both spilling into houses, garages, and more than a few boats that never should have been left in their slips.

We did not build this company around a slogan. We built it around a creek that has a documented habit of rewriting its own flood records, a St. Johns River shoreline that floods from Green Cove Springs to Fleming Island, and a hurricane season that runs June through November whether anyone is ready for it or not. If you are reading this with wet carpet under your feet, skip the rest of the front page and call.

What follows is the practical version: what we do, what it costs, where we work, and where our scope stops. No invented history, no borrowed numbers. Just a county that floods and a crew that answers when it does.

"Major flooding starts at 21 feet on the Middleburg gauge. Debby got to 20. Irma got to 28.5. Both are worth knowing before the next storm, not during it."

Why a County-Wide Crew, Not a Franchise Route

Most restoration outfits that answer Clay County calls are dispatched out of Jacksonville, working our towns as a stop on a longer route. We built Clay County Restoration to work the opposite way: a crew that already knows which roads close first when the North Prong rises, and which subdivisions sit on slab versus pier.

We are a new, independently run company. We are not going to tell you we have been doing this for twenty years in this market, because we have not. What we will tell you is what our guarantee covers, what our pricing looks like before we start, and how fast we answer the phone. Read that on the About page, in full, no fine print.

One thing we do not do: mold clearance air sampling or lab testing. That is an independent inspector's job, separate from remediation, and we will tell you so upfront rather than sell you a test we should not be grading ourselves.
